  • Understanding risk factors for substance use

Session 3: Empathy and Emotional Connection
  • Developing empathy and emotional connection with children
  • Empathy and emotional connections (merged for clarity)
  • Healing personal trauma to become a more effective parent

Session 4: Strengthening Bonds and Managing Conflict
  • Strengthening parent-child bonding and managing family conflict
  • Strengthening child and family bonding, managing conflict (merged)
  • Using rewards and recognition to support bonding and good behavior

Session 5: Managing Behavior and Aggression
  • Managing aggressive behavior in elementary-aged children
  • Helping children reduce aggressive or antisocial behavior
  • Bullying prevention and response

Session 6: Navigating Media and Technology
  • Reducing media influence on children
  • Parenting children struggling with addiction (social media, gaming, substances, etc.)

Session 7: Recognition, Motivation, and Behavior
  • Rewards and recognition (continued/reinforced from Session 4)
  • Supporting positive behaviors through motivation and encouragement

Session 8: Wrap-Up and Application
  • Integrate key themes from all sessions
  • Collaborative Q&A and case discussion
  • Action planning for parents
