Sonali Srivastava

Member – Board of Directors

Professionally, Sonali S. Srivastava is a patent lawyer and works as a Division Counsel at AbbVie, Inc.

Throughout the years, Sonali has created opportunities to explore performing arts and socially relevant issues through performing arts.  As a Cultural Secretary of two premier educational institutions in India, the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and Miranda House, Delhi University, Sonali worked to raise the profile of performing arts, Indian classical music and social justice issues through organizing and hosting cultural festivals, classical music performances of SPICMACAY, street plays, choreographies and debates.

Sonali is an admirer and a connoisseur of performing arts.  She has been learning and performing the Indian classical drums, “ Tabla,” for over 35 years.  initiated into music by legendary Pt. Sharda Maharaj, at a very young age, she has continued to pursue learning under the tutelage of Sri Raj Deshmukh, and the Doyen of Lucknow Gharana, Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri over the last 10 years.  Sonali has received Sangeet Prabhakar Diploma in Music (Tabla) from the pre-eminent Indian University, Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad.

​Sonali is a co-founder and a member of the board of directors for Tribhang, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of globally relevant issues through performing arts.   Sonali is also a co-founder and member of the board of directors for Kala Eternal Rhythms, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to Indian Classical percussion music.  Previously, Sonali has also served as a member of the board of directors for YWCA, Young Women’s Christian Association of Janesville, WI.

Monica Chopra is a Post graduate in Financial Management and a commerce student from Gargi college, Delhi.

Monica is a business owner and passionate about supporting the local community. She has been recognized for her efforts in media. She has held administrative and management posts in prior organizations in India.

Monica lives in Naperville/Plainfield with her husband and 2 girls.

Anjali Khare

Per Anjali “Having extensive experience in office administration and management in my previous job, working in Sanjeevani as Secretary gives me great enthusiasm and an opportunity to use those skills and knowledge in day-to-day activities”

In addition to administrative and managerial skills, she has a passion to outreach community and help them in giving first line of action and provide them accurate information as needed.

 Anita Tekriwal

Staff/Program Coordinator

Anita has been a domestic violence counselor to women and children for the past 12 years. She finds that there is nothing quite as humbling and rewarding as seeing her work transform the lives of many. She strongly advocates for others to join her in engaging in volunteerism and activism at the local level because doing so will strengthen and empower the community as a whole.

Jayashree Iyer

Event Coordinator

Jayashree Iyer  is a Chicago resident for over 30 years.  She has worked in school, technology and HR. Once her children left home, she  quit her job to spend time with family overseas and complete other of things to do.
With Sanjeevani, she knew this is an organization she wanted to be a part of.  She looks forward to working closely with other volunteers in helping grow the organization so we could reach more people in their time of need.

Manisha Priyadarshini

Event Coordinator

Manisha is an MBA and holds a bachelor’s degree in English. She is passionate about making a difference and providing a helping hand to others who are helpless, alone, suffering mental illness. Sanjeevani has provided an outlet for her compassionate heart and given a deeper meaning to her life. Her hobbies are listening to music, walking, reading and volunteering in community services. She lives in Naperville with her husband, 2 children and a pet dog.

Saily Joshi

Advisory

Saily Joshi is a graduate of Northwestern University (BA Economics and Pyschology) and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (JD).  She has extensive experience with strategic marketing and business development.

Saily is also involved in her community and sits on various educational, cultural and nonprofit boards. She is currently the Chair of the Parent Diversity Advisory Council representing parents and students on issues of educational equity at IPSD 204.   She also is a former board member on the Indian Community Outreach Board for the City of Naperville and is a brand Ambassador for the Chicago Sinfonietta.

She lives in Naperville, IL with her husband and two boys.

Reshma Sambare

Advisory

Reshma Sambare practices law in Michigan at Miller Canfield and focuses her practice on legal issues related to commercial real estate development, commercial transactions, and economic development incentives involving national and international clients of public, private, and public-private-partnership nature.

Reshma is involved in several nonprofit and pro bono initiatives focused on the South Asian women and families. She serves on the VAWA and U Visa Pro Bono Panel of Michigan Immigrant Rights Center; serves on the State Bar of Michigan’s Domestic Violence Committee; and serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations.
