Inaugural function of Walk-in-clinics by Sanjeevani
Aurora: Sanjeevani inaugurated its free walk-in clinics on 12th March, 2019 at Aurora Public Library (Eola branch), Aurora from 10.30 am-11.00 am. The objective of these clinics is provide in-person counselling and support services to those suffering from for mental health and domestic abuse concerns. These clinics have been made possible by a grant from City of Aurora.This is the second year of the program running at Aurora.
The inauguration was attended by Alderman Shermin L. Jenkins, Alderman Judd Lofchie, Alderman Richard B. Mervin from Aurora City Council; Mr. Dan Barreiro, Chief Community Services Officer from Aurora city; Mr. Harley Jones, CEO of 360 Youth Services; Christina from Linden Oaks and a IACOAB representative Gautam Bhatia alongwith invited guests, board and volunteers.
Sanjeevani is thankful to the city of Aurora for believing in its mission and ability to address the issues of mental health and supporting Sanjeevani’s walk-in clinic program.
The “Walk-in Clinics” will continue in Aurora for six months on a weekly basis. Trained personnel will offer free counselling and support to people suffering from depression, domestic abuse, and relationship issues. Confidentiality is maintained which is key in encouraging people to walk in and seek help without any inhibitions. We hope to reach out to as many people as possible going through tough times and help bring smiles and happiness in their lives. All services are free.
Sanjeevani 4 U is a 501c (3) non-profit organization which was started in 2015 with the objective to provide free counselling and support to anyone who is going through mental
health concerns or domestic abuse. Its mission is to build awareness on mental health and abuse and provide actionable tools to people to make informed choices – choices
which will bring smile to their lives. The services are provided by trained personnel and are available 24 hours, 7 days a week through phone, emails and in-person
interactions. The target groups that Sanjeevani serves are men, women, senior citizens and youth.
