FREE Mental Health Screenings to take place locally
Please join us this National Depression Screening Day, Thursday, October 5 to spread the word to increase awareness of mental health. National Depression Screening Day takes place annually nationwide. This year the focus is on suicide awareness and timely intervention and learning the part that we all can play in recognizing warning signs and take the correct action steps to help a friend or loved one in need.
In recognition of National Depression Screening Day, the Association for Individual Development, Centegra Hospital, Community Health Partnership, Greater Elgin Family Care Center, and Mathers Clinic are working together to provide the public with a free mental health screen at the following locations:
Thursday, Oct 5, from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Thursday, Oct 5, from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm
The screenings will take less than 5 minutes to complete and all those being screened will meet with qualified mental health professionals to review screening outcomes, local treatment options, as well as access to mental health education.
