Press release of official inauguration of the 'Walk in Clinic " program at Aurora city. ============ Inaugural function of Walk-in-clinics by Sanjeevani Aurora: Sanjeevani inaugurated its free walk-in clinics on 12th March, 2019 at Aurora Public Library (Eola branch), Aurora from 10.30 am-11.00 am. The objective of these clinics is provide in-person counselling and support services to those suffering from for mental health and domestic abuse concerns. These clinics have been made possible by a grant from City of Aurora.This is the second year of the program running at Aurora. The inauguration was attended by Alderman Shermin L. As May is mental health awareness month and the full house of audiences joined together to bring the awareness and information for the mother, the sister, the daughter, the wife and the WOMAN. The guest speakers were: Dr Mallika Rajendran and Ms. Deepali Aul. Dr. Rajendran gave an excellent presentation about woman's wellness including details about the symptoms, its causes and solution to common concerns. Sanjeevani NGO organized its first quarterly talk event of 2018 on topic “Youth - Challenges & Concerns" on April 8, 2018 from 02:00 PM – 04:00 PM at 95th Street Library, Naperville. The event was supported by KidsMatter, American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, PDAC (IPSD 204) and Indian American Community Outreach Advisory Board. The event had 5 experts and guest speakers in the area of mental health, especially for youth. They were K. Knight (Mental health counselor), G. Bhimani (Youth activist), K. Martinez (Executive Director of KidsMatter), A. King (American Foundation of Suicide Prevention) and Dr. S Swaminathan (Chairman Dept. of Psychiatry, Advocate Medical Center).
